Do You Know the Dangers of a Tornado?

Spring is the season of revival and renewal. But with the change in season from winter to spring comes the annual climate change in the weather. Cold air masses are in lingering regression northward and warm air is also moving north.
Cold and warm air masses move more rapidly when there is distinctive difference in temperatures. Since these two air masses differ in temperature substantially, the action of rubbing against each other creates crazy and dangerous forms above the ground. The situation in the sky can be life threatening in the air as well as on the ground. An example of this was the plane crash at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport that was involved in a squall. The pilots chose to fly into the storm clouds on their base leg while trying to land. The nose of the plane was pushed to the ground.
Thunderstorms create unpredictable and dangerous conditions in the sky. Electrically charged atoms trade ions in each area of the storm. It can be exciting to breathe the air and see the light show made from the lightning in the sky as long as the storm is not reaching the ground.
Thunderstorms are in fact cooking pots for hurricanes and tornadoes. Mixed together like soup, the cold dry, air masses and warm, moist air masses can reach heights of five thousand feet. All tornadoes start at high altitudes and can reach wind speeds of up to 300 miles per hour (300 mph) or more. It is easy to lack the reality of the impact three-hundred-mile-an-hour winds can have on anything. A forty-mile-an-hour wind pushes cars and trucks around the road. Seventy-mile-an-hour winds blow signs, doors, roofs, windows and other debris around.
Meteorologists have created a line from the state of Nebraska in the state of Texas that is commonly known as "Tornado Alley." The United States sees an average of one thousand (1000) tornadoes annually. That is the most tornadoes that occur in any one country in the world.
People should always seriously heed tornado watches and warnings. At the outset during a watch, weather conditions are right for a tornado. In the middle of Tornado Warning, go directly to a room with no windows. People should never get under the bed. Stay away from windows. Out in the street, find the low spot away from trees. Trees attract lightning. In the car, just to get the low-lying area and stay there. Do not attempt to outrun the tornado or stay in the car.
Tornadoes form at any time, but especially from March - Aug. Texas has the most tornadoes. However, a sign from a motel was carried at a distance of 30 miles to Arkansas from Oklahoma in 2008. One time, there was a tornado that traveled over our house and sounded like a train with a roaring engine. We don't have railroad tracks anywhere for twenty miles. That tornado did touchdown in town and blew off the roof of a soft drink bottling plant.
Day times most are likely to generate tornadoes from 3:00 in the afternoon to 9:00 at night. There is much to learn more about tornadoes, hurricanes, and tornado safety.
